We are proud of our city here in Surprise, AZ. Besides great restaurants, shops, golf courses, and aquatic centers, the city also has some summer activities that you’ll want to check out. The following are a few upcoming events that are perfect for kids and adults alike.
3 Fun Summer Activities You Can Drive to Near Surprise, AZ
1. Friday Rec Nights Surfs up Party
Kids ages 11 to 14 can come out to the Sierra Montana Recreation Center, located at 14861 N. Spring Ln., and dance to music and lights and enjoy games and contests. When the kids need a break, they can visit the concession stand for a snack and a beverage. For the dances, the cost is $5 for Surprise residents or $10 for non-residents. We recommend that you register online as space is limited.
This fun event will be held on Friday, June 2 from 9 p.m. to midnight.
2. Dive-in Movie
The whole family will have a blast relaxing in the pool or sitting on the lounge chairs while watching a family movie on the big screen. There will also be a concession stand where you can purchase food. The movie will play from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, but doors open at 7 p.m. so the kids can splash around in the pool before the movie.
The cost is just $5 for residents and $8 for non-residents. The event will be held at the Surprise Aquatic Center, located at 15831 N. Bullard Blvd.
3. Teen Adventures – Great Skate
Calling all teenagers ages 12 to 17! You’ll go to Great Skate and have a wonderful time with your friends. The cost is $20 for residents and $25 for non-residents, and that includes your transportation to the venue as well as skate rental, a slice of pizza, and a soda. If your kids would like more to eat or something other than pizza, there is a concession stand.
You must register online, and they suggest doing so as soon as you can as space is limited. You’ll meet at the Sierra Montana Recreation Center, located at 14861 N. Spring Ln., to be taken to Great Skate. The event will be held on Wednesday, June 13 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
